Oil Filters, Oil Returns & Drains for Rotary Vane Pumps

When operating under high gas loads, rotary vane pumps exhaust small drops of oil with the exhaust gases. This 'oil carryover' will eventually deplete the oil level in the pump reservoir until the oil level will fall below the amount required to operate the pump without damage. The Agilent exhaust filter uses a coalescing filter element to recapture oil from the exhausted gases.

The oil return kit is added to the exhaust filter to provide for oil collected in the exhaust filter to be returned automatically to the pump reservoir.

The optional oil drain extension is available to extend the oil drain plug 40 mm out from its position in the pump case, allowing easier access for oil to be drained into a waste receptacle.

Features

The Agilent exhaust filter employs a coalescing filter element to capture, coalesce, and collect the droplets of oil carried out of the pump case by the exiting gas flow.
In applications where there is a high gas load, the pump oil can be completely removed by exhaust gas carryover, with severe damage to the pump as the result of operating without oil lubrication.
Within the Agilent exhaust filter, the oil in the exhaust gas coalesces along the fibers of the filter element, draining down to collect in the bottom of the filter housing.
A sight glass is positioned to monitor the oil level, to guide the timely removal of the filter and drain the oil back into the pump case.
An oil return kit is available to connect the exhaust filter to the pump gas ballast port, allowing the oil collected in the exhaust filterto be automatically returned to the pump case, eliminating the regular removal and draining of the exhaust filter.
To aid in the draining of the pump oil, a pump oil drain extension is available that extends the location of the oil drain plug out from the pump case by 40 mm to allow a drain receptacle to be easily position to receive the draining oil.
